Tasting Lijiang’s Flavors in Beijing
Beijing, CHINA — A light dinner of two courses at In & Out (一坐一忘丽江主题餐厅) and a dessert beckons a return for more. The prices won’t break the bank and the ambiance echoes old Lìjiāng without a few of the tourist-trap pretensions one finds in Lìjiāng today.

Jiànshuǐ Xiāngcǎo Yúntuǐ Dòufǔ Guǒ (建水香草云腿豆腐裹, Jianshui Yunnan Ham in Roasted Tofu Parcels Tied with Lemongrass) Jiànshuǐ is in southern Yunnan province.

Lìjiāng Mǐfěn Liáng Jī (丽江米粉凉鸡, Lìjiāng Spicy Cold Chicken over Rice Noodles)

Déhóng Pào Rǔdá (德宏泡乳达) Déhóng is in western Yunnan, where the Dai minority reside. Evaporated milk, shredded coconut, crispy bread squares, red bean, and sago finish off a small yet filling teaser of Lìjiāng.
