I’m having a sore-throat-congested-nose kind of day. I decided I’d doctor up a chicken soup to help cut this cold in half.
Ingredients
- 100 grams pumpkin, peeled and cubed (Vitamins A & C)
- 8 red grape tomatoes, halved (Vitamin C!)
- 1 ½-inch piece ginger, sliced with skin left on (Great for sore throats.)
- 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Organic Chicken Base, (Chicken soup is great for cold and clearing nasal passages.)
- 2 cups water
- 1 sprig thyme
Method
- In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add all ingredients and boil for 10 minutes. Remove pot from heat and using a hand blender, purée until smooth. Garnish with leaves from a sprig of thyme and serve

I love your new look and this sounds absolutely delicious even if it is medicine to cure the pain.
Must file this recipe and cook this when I need a different “penicillin”
Have you recommend this pumpkin tomato ginger chicken soup to virginia, she’s absolutely a qualified patient.
