When I first started the ShowShanti project, visiting Chinese families in their homes to learn home style recipes, my attempts to give them money were taken as insult. I wanted to show the families my appreciation, but our new friendships were obviously not for sale. I decided to design aprons, expressive with color, to give the families as a token of my appreciation.
These colorful aprons are now available for purchase and help fund the ShowShanti project so we can all discover more favorite family recipes in China.
