Continue Reading →从古至今,食为生存之本。以前旧时代的生活给予人们带来太多的深刻回忆。即使我这个80零后,从小时听着爷爷奶奶回忆起那段民革时期吃不饱穿不暖的生活,现在都有点心悸。每顿都吃饱那种感觉对我们这代来说,真的没什么概念。即使家境不算太富裕,家里人还是很精致安排我们的用餐。所以,发展到现在21世纪来说,已经有太多人不再注重一日三餐是否只有温饱问题了。随着经济不断好转,越来越多的人,不管从老到少,都开始注重饮食的健康。哪种食物可以增强体质,哪种会对身体构造有帮助,哪一种又会成为身体的美丽塑造。

The family I met today is Chinese, of the Hakka minority group. They migrated from China to Indonesia and descendants dispersed from there; some moved to the United States while some like my host, Wēn Pó (age 82), “returned” to China. Chinese who have lived abroad and return to live in China are called huáqiáo (华侨).
